Erie, PA Class Descriptions

All Classes are 55 minutes unless noted. Heart Rate Monitor and water recommended. All Best Fitness Instructors are nationally certified in their area of expertise.

BODYPUMP™: The original LES MILLS™ barbell class, will sculpt, tone and strengthen your entire body, fast! Great bodies aren’t born, they are transformed, using the proven BODYPUMP™ formula: THE REP EFFECT™ a breakthrough in resistance workout training. Focusing on low weight loads and high repetition movements, you’ll burn fat, gain strength and quickly produce lean body muscle conditioning. Limit 39- passes given out at the front desk 30 minutes before start of class.

Boot Camp: Push yourself to the limits with this mix of cardio and weights to obtain a high, efficient calorie burn throughout the entire class. You will find Boot Camp moves mixed with other cardio combinations, band resistance, and weights. Be ready to sweat! All levels welcome.

Cardio Kickboxing: This class utilizes jabs, crosses and upper cuts paired with lower body kicks for a high energy, action packed, super fun effective cardio workout.

Hatha Yoga: A gentle approach blending various styles of yoga to improve flexibility, strength and breathing techniques. The posture sequence lengthens and stretches the muscles at the same time it builds lean muscle.

Hip Hop Cardio: Enjoy fitness through the latest hip hop music and dance moves. Angela will guide participants through motions and build combinations to accelerate heart rate while having fun! All skill levels welcomed!

Interval-ocity: This fat burning, fast moving workout will work every muscle group in your body while strengthening your heart and lungs. Hi/Low Cardio with intervals of weights every 3:1.5 minute ratios. High intensity, low impact. Be prepared to sweat!

Low Combo: A low impact workout for any fitness level. Low Combo combines cardio, weight training, sculpting and stretching at a safe, easy to follow pace. This class is effective and fun for all ages and fitness levels.

Pilates:  A mat workout with exercises that are based upon strengthening the “core” muscles of the abdominal while increasing flexibility, strength, precision and body awareness to lengthen, define and sculpt muscles. A stability ball is also utilized to help challenge the body.

PiYo™:  Lose weight & completely transform your body! This workout provides an incredible experience while focusing on power and getting stronger. Transform & exhilarate your body through PiYo™.

Spinning:  These traditional indoor cycling classes offer a nonimpact, highly effective way to build cardiovascular strength and endurance. Designed for all levels, these classes offer a challenging opportunity to get your heart pumping, burn serious calories and leave you with a feeling of accomplishment and perhaps a desire to be out on the road.

Step:  An intense aerobics class using the Step. Step aerobics burns 30-60 % more calories than traditional aerobics with particular emphasis on hips, thighs, abdominals, and buttocks. Higher intensity variation of a traditional step class, using more complex choreography. Beginners can modify.

TREKKING:  A challenging workout using the latest in treadmill training. Classes will vary from 5k, 10k conditioning to interval and strength training. This 30-minute class will expand your imagination and challenge your normal treadmill routine! Limit 8- passes given out at the front desk 30 minutes before start of class.

Turbo Kick® :  Burn calories and blast fat! Turbo Kick® mixes kickboxing and simple dance moves with music that makes you want to move it! You’ll love having fun and losing weight. It won’t even seem like you’re working out.

Vinyasa Yoga:  Vinyasa Yoga tradition, linking powerful breath with dynamic, flowing movements. Often referred to as meditation in motion, vinyasa yoga cultivates: strength, endurance, flexibility, balance, focus, and serenity.

Zumba®:  Fuses hypnotic latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba® Fanatics achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!

15/30 Minute Abs: :  Power House on! 15 or 30 minutes of concentrated exercise for the core. Strengthen your abdominals, oblique’s, and back muscles with a series of crunches, isometrics and resistance training.
